In a clip from an upcoming episode of Darcey & Stacey, Darcey Silva fails spectacularly at running an obstacle course with her daughters, and it’s one of the funniest scenes this season. Darcey & Stacey season 4 has been a tumultuous ride for 90 Day Fiancé star Darcey in particular. While her sister Stacey Silva is busy planning her second wedding with husband Florian Sukaj, Darcey has reluctantly reentered the dating pool. Unfortunately, Darcey hasn’t had much luck. Her first romantic interest in season 4 turned out to be a dud, and Cicero, the man her matchmaker set her up with, ended up ghosting her. But despite the dramatic moments, Darcey & Stacey season 4 has also been packed with comedy.
A recent preview clip, shared by Entertainment Tonight, shows 90 Day Fiancé’s Darcey Silva on a fun outing with daughters Aniko and Aspen, where the three try their hands at a parkour-style obstacle course. Darcey says she wants to have “one last mommy-and-daughter day” before Aniko goes to university in the fall. In the clip, Aniko and Aspen lightheartedly tease their mother, calling her a “chicken” and “party pooper” for initially being wary of the course. But after watching Aspen deftly navigate the obstacle—and Aniko tumbling off it— Darcey gives it the ol’ college try. However, it ends about as well as one would expect, and Darcey quickly finds herself on the floor.
Darcey Silva Is Great At Physical Comedy
In the clip (initially teased by TLC), Darcey is her best and funniest self, calling the obstacle a “swinging arm of hell” and worrying that she’s going to “pop a boob.” Later, Darcey tries her hand at a simple tire swing, but she still ends up with her face in the mat before long. Aspen calls it “a sight to see.” This isn’t the first time she’s made viewers laugh with her antics, as an earlier scene in season 4 featured Darcey doing Pilates, in which she’s just as poorly coordinated. Whether she’s attempting yoga handstands or failing to make a smoothie, Darcey has served up scene after scene of comedy gold.
Though the drama between the sisters and Darcey’s dating woes have driven the storylines on Darcey & Stacey season 4, the comedic moments have been just as compelling. There have been numerous amazing moments featuring Darcey and Stacey, including a memorably cringey scene of the twins recording their new “hit” song, and the two are funnier than ever. However, Florian has also emerged as the comedic dark horse of the season, serving up one brain-stopping bizarre one-liner after another. Darcey & Stacey season 4 has been packed with memeable reaction shots, laugh-out-loud scenes, and moments that are so cringey they’re great. Overall, this has been the most humorous season the spin-off has ever seen.
Though Darcey & Stacey started as one of 90 Day Fiancé’s more under-the-radar spin-offs, it has become a jewel in the franchise. Where other shows in the franchise are becoming more problematic, predictable, or just plain boring, Darcey & Stacey seems to be hitting its stride as a show. As the latest, ridiculous, preview clip proves, Darcey & Stacey is one 90 Day Fiancé franchise show that shouldn’t be slept on.
